Easter Walk

Enjoy the ducks and aquatic life along Marsh and Foster Islands and the beauties of spring in the UW Washington Park Arboretum on the Emerald City Wanderers traditional-Saturday-before-Easter walk.  10K and 5K routes available.

The free, noncompetitive walk will start at the UW Parking Lot E-5 near the UW Center for Urban Horticulture.  Parking lot fee is $3 until noon, free after.

The walk will include sidewalks and gravel and bark trails.   It is not suitable for wheelchairs or small-wheeled strollers.  Dogs must be leashed and kept out of buildings, beaches, playgrounds and natural areas.  Dogs are not allowed on the island wetlands portion of the walk.  Alternate route available.

E-18 Parking Lot at the University of Washington.

I-5: Exit #168B (SR520E/ Bellevue). Take Montlake Blvd/UW exit. LEFT on Montlake Blvd and move to right lane. Pass Hec Edmundson/Alaska Airlines Arena and IMC. Exit RIGHT to Wahkiakum Way/E-1 and E-18 lots. Follow signs to E-18 parking area. THERE IS A $3 PARKING FEE TILL NOON.

SR520 WESTBOUND: Take Montlake Blvd exit. RIGHT on Montlake Blvd. Continue as above. Remember the 520 bridge toll is $5 without the "Good to Go" pass, $3.50 with pass.

FOR THOSE EXITING SR 520 EASTBOUND AT MONTLAKE, THERE IS NO TOLL; TOLLS APPLY ONLY TO THOSE TRAVELING WESTBOUND FROM THE EAST SIDE.

Public Transportation: Metro route 73. Transfer at NE 45th to route 44 to U Hospital. Walk to start point on Montlake Blvd E.
