Enjoy the ducks and aquatic life along Marsh and Foster Islands and the beauties of spring in the UW Washington Park Arboretum on the Emerald City Wanderers traditional-Saturday-before-Easter walk. 10K and 5K routes available.
The free, noncompetitive walk will start at the UW Parking Lot E-5 near the UW Center for Urban Horticulture. Parking lot fee is $3 until noon, free after.
The walk will include sidewalks and gravel and bark trails. Since Easter is later this year, there should be more in bloom in the Arboretum. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or small-wheeled strollers. Dogs must be leashed and kept out of buildings, beaches, playgrounds and natural areas. Dogs are not allowed on the island wetlands portion of the walk. Alternate route available.
