28th Annual Northwest Trek Walk
Come and enjoy the Four-Plus Foolhardy Folks volkssport club's annual "cure for cabin fever" event. This will be the 28th annual walk through Northwest Trek Wildlife Park near Eatonville, WA.
Walk either day -- Saturday or Sunday. You can start anytime between 8am and 1pm on Saturday, but 8am to noon on Sunday. You must finish by 4pm Saturday, 3pm Sunday. Free admission to the park. The walk is free but IVV credit is $3.
The 5K route stays on asphalt paths throughout wildlife natural setting viewing areas and some forest paths. The 10k route features the 1 mile long Springwater Springs Trail, which may be muddy -- be prepared -- rated 1B.
The Northwest Trek gift shop and snack bars are open. Bring the family. The 5k route is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Pets are not allowed in Northwest Trek.
Directions:
I-5: exit #127 (SR512) east to SR161 (South Hill/Eatonville). Right (south) on SR161 (22miles from I-5). Follow Northwest Trek signs to park at 11610 Trek Drive East, Eatonville, WA.
I-495: exit #2 (SR167) south to SR512 (Puyallup/Olympia) to SR161 exit (Meridian). Left on SR161 and continue as above.
