Nancy Weinstein's article about the Sound Steppers walk in Edmonds

Turkey Trot

Along the route

Hello one and all,

The Sound Steppers put on a nice Turkey Trot in Edmonds Saturday, November 28, with some 350 "turkeys trotting".  The rain held off (doubtless because I had rain pants and a poncho in my fanny pack...) for the duration.

The 10km route took us through town (residential and commercial), into and out of City Park, a short way along the beach.  Real estate agents might do well to explore connections between volkssporting and home sales -- in Edmonds, anyway :-)  The walk certainly made it look like a nice place to live.

Betty, Ross and I enjoyed a tasty repast at Anthony's Beach Cafe afterwards.  We were seated next to a wall that bore an astonishing resemblance to sand;  when we gazed ceilingward, a colorful array of fish and seaweed swam by.  Perfect complement to a gray sky.

Happy trails to all of you from Ross and me.
